About Me

Kate Stamoulis is an Edinburgh-based Director and Theatre Maker, interested in creating new and inventive work and fostering a sense of collective collaboration. She is interested in devised, ensemble-driven theatre, new writing, and highlighting queer and women's stories.

​

Originally from the US, Kate has recently graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with her MFA in Theatre Directing.  Her most recent credits include; "We Used to be Girl Scouts" (Edinburgh Fringe 2024), 'Kitchen Underwear' (Edinburgh Fringe 2023), and Assistant Director of 'Lost Girls/At Bus Stops (Play Pie & A Pint/Traverse Theatre).

Kate is also the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Hey Thanks! Theatre Collectivea queer and women-led theatre company based in Edinburgh/London.  Since launching in 2022, Hey Thanks! has produced three Edinburgh Fringe Productions, toured throughout the UK, and continues to host a calendar of community events for emerging artists across Edinburgh and London.  You can find more information about Hey Thanks! on their website here or on their Instagram @heythankstheatreco
